Westside Union was founded in 2009. We specialize in Design, Software/Hardware Development, and Multimedia for businesses. 

A solution provider drawing on years of experience since mobile application development and digital marketing began. 

Based in San Francisco, Toronto, and Taiwan, we deliver our expertise to enterprises worldwide. Cross Asia and North America take different time zones as an advantage, perfectly doing the project with no time lag, best quality, and without wasting any time.

history

2009

Westside Union was founded as a studio by two ambitious young people, Kai Han (Jacky) Ho from Taiwan and Jerry Schuman from the United States.

Cross Asia and North America take different time zones as an advantage, perfectly doing the project with no time lag, best quality, and without wasting any time.

2013

CTR Strategy Inc. invested in Westside Union Studio and rebranded it as Westside Union Inc.

We became a division under CTR Strategy Inc., expanded our team to include VFX artists and software and hardware engineers, and started offering software, hardware development, and 3D-printing prototype services.

2014

Westside Union Inc. joined the Google Ignite program, started an R&D department, and developed our SaaS products or projects, including Web3 applications. Project BitChat and Project BizApp were the first experimental projects at the beginning.
BitChat is a military-grade encryption enterprise messager software, and BizApp is a web-based app development tool for small businesses.

2015

Our first medical-grade project, "Project Leap M (Bio Union)" started with cutting-edge smart garments to help people monitor cardiac conditions, treat progress, and prevent sudden incidents from occurring. It combines real-time ECG monitoring with a report that can be sent out to help doctors follow up and manage a patient's condition or give proper treatment instructions easily.

2016

Our founder developed the biggest interactive 3D hologram system, "Project LEIA" for Crystal Galleria in Shanghai, China.
A hologram system with a built-in motion sensor can track your finger movements to interact with the 3D hologram system. 
In the same year, we started to invest and acquire startup companies

2017

Our founder was invited to the MEDICA Connected Health Forum as a panel speaker to present his latest research and development of Project Leap M. The year after, Project Leap M separated as a company, "Bio Union" was founded in San Francisco.

*MEDICA is the world's largest event for the medical sector for more than 40 years

2018

Our founder was invited to be the founding member of Taiwan Blockchain SRO (Self-Regulatory Organization)​ due to our years of research experience in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. Taiwan Blockchain SRO aims to help the government draft the regulation law act to create a better environment for any related startups.

2025

A whole new chapter for the Westside Union Inc.

Jerry Pico joined as a co-founder of Westside Union Corp (Canada).

Westside Union Corp was founded in Toronto, Canada, to expand business in Canada.
